I’ve always loved food, but it’s been a journey to make changes that created a more health conscious life. After my children were born I started making most of our meals from scratch, and around this time started working on weight loss. My rules were simple, you can have it if you make it. So no more grabbing processed sweets off the shelf, if I wanted a cookie, I made them. Nothing was off limits. Over the course of two years, I lost 45 lbs, had a good workout habit, learned how to make many new recipes, and felt good about how I was feeling.
Coming into my forties feeling good and wanting to do more in fitness and nutrition, I aligned with a fitness company for nearly a decade, helping hundreds of women work with their fitness and nutrition plans. Found my love of learning more about nutrition and how it impacts our life. Through my own health struggles, I've learned what a vital role nutrition can play in healing.
And now we’re here...
I guess a lot of people make changes at 50, it’s that time to reflect on where we’ve been and where we want to be. I'm no longer trying to help women be smaller, instead the focus has shifted to helping women feel their best, and life their life to the fullest, while working with them in a more complete, holistic way. We're not one symptom, or one body part, we're a whole person that deserves individual attention.
